Baby's day out: What do I really need
I have seen different kinds of bags being carried around by moms and I have to admit that some of them were big, making me wonder that perhaps I had too little with me.
First of all, I have never bought a mommy's bag because to me, they are too big, a bit ugly, they create a feeling that they need to be filled up with many things and eventually you are going to be using only half of what is in there!
So here is my shortlist of the items I always have with me when I go out with my son:
nappies
wipes
diaper rash cream
a pair of extra clothes
a portable -super-thin- changing pad
For my baby's milk I had a separate container including the following:
a sterilized bottle
my milk
a bib
his water bottle
Later and after we started with solid foods and baby-led weaning I replaced milk by taking solid foods with me and in my bag there were:
a container with cooked food
a container with fruits or one banana
a bib
a fork & a spoon
So instead of going around with a big bag, I had a small bag with what was necessary for changing his nappy & a second pair of clothes, and one small container for his milk/food, both placed in the storage part of our stroller.
Last but not least, I would always bring with me one or two of his favorite toys in case he would get fussy. That's it!
Going out and going light was just my way. What's your way?
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and see you soon!
All the best,
Clio
